thinkCube CloudSync
thinkCube Cloud Sync is an enabler to our Aura & Athena solutions by allowing operators to offer sync services such as Mail Sync (push mail), Contact Sync and Calendar Sync on the vast majority of popular feature phones. The Cloud Sync solution has a roadmap to broaden this synchronization required of cloud service. The Mobile Mail Sync server mediates between the customer’s own e-mail account and mobile phone to push e-mails to it, while the Mobile Calendar & Contact Sync server will sync the calendar and address book with the cloud. The TakeControl interface provides management capabilities to customers of the Cloud Sync service.

We live in a busy world where the demarcation between when “it’s time to work” and when “it’s time to play” is becoming less obvious. Mobile phones and other mobile devices such as tablets and netbooks are the way of the future for staying connected on the move.
As we embrace an always connected life style, the need to access information on the go in a timely manner becomes paramount.
How it works
Each customer will be allocated an email address, calendar and contact list in the cloud. The email address allocated to the customer (e.g: customer@telco.com) can receive e-mails forwarded to it on the mobile device via IMAP push. The customer has the option of publishing this email address to others or use his/her existing email address. Customers are able to access their mail via the web or on their mobile device after it has been synced with the cloud.
Similarly customers can sync their personal calendar and contact list on the cloud which can easily be updated over the web or on the mobile device using its native client. Mobile updates to the address book or calendar will periodically get synced back to the cloud using the SyncML protocol. For devices that don’t support native SyncML, we are able to push a downloadable mobile client that will work on many J2ME, Symbian, iPhone and Android devices.

With thinkCube Cloud Sync, customers can stay connected, organized and in control. Never miss an important email, business meeting or schedule a conflicting appointment. Customers can update their calendar on the go and have it synced with their web based calendar and vice-versa.
Customers can use their own Email address
Some customers don’t want to give up their trusty old e-mail address for a new one. Customers can continue to use their existing e-mail address
with the Cloud Sync service so that all mails sent from their mobile device will continue to have a return path back to their existing email address. For those customers who don’t already have an email address, Aura provides them with a Cloud Sync enabled personal e-mail address which is in par with any Enterprise grade email service.
Receive Emails from Multiple Accounts
Mobile Sync can link up to 5 personal or business e-mail accounts in order to enable “push mail” directly to the mobile device. Setup can be done by customers by forwarding their current e-mail accounts to their Cloud Sync provided e-mail addresses or alternatively Cloud Sync server can pull mails
from the remote mail server and push it to the mobile device.
Never loose a Contact
One benefit of having contact syncing is the ability for your customers to be able to backup their phone’s address book so in the case of the phone being stolen or damaged, they can still access all their contacts using a web interface or sync it back to another phone.
Send Meeting invites
Your customers can schedule meetings effectively by adding contacts from their contact list or by using any email address and sending a meeting request. When the remote attendee accepts, the system will automatically update the acceptance.
